Obituary
Charles David Cameron Sr., 80, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 13th, 2013 surrounded by his family. Charles was born here in Cleveland on August 21, 1932 a son of the late John and Medie Cameron. He was of the Baptist faith and attended the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. Charles was a very gifted craftsman and woodworker. He used his talents to build many things such as log cabins, furniture and grandfather clocks just to name a few. Charles’s hobbies included attending local auctions and gold panning with his brothers.
In addition to his parents Charles is preceded in death by two brothers Ralph Cameron and Earl Cameron.Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of fifty nine years Jane Walls Cameron, two sons Charles D. “Chuck” Cameron Jr. of Knoxville TN and Gary L. Cameron and wife Soying of Cleveland, one sister Joyce Walls, six grandchildren Josh Cameron (Tabitha) of Knoxville, TN, Destiny Arnold (Mason) of Nashville, TN, Ashley Cameron, Sidney Cameron, Andrew Lau and Natalie Lau all of Cleveland, six great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday night, February 15th, 2013 at the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church located at 2412 Georgetown Road in Cleveland TN from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Mark Cameron officiating with entombment to follow.
