Charles Dallas Twigg, 77, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Friday morning, January 14, 2022. He was born in Abilene, Texas on June 19, 1944. He lived most of his life in Rockford, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his dad, Merte C. Twigg; mom, Margaret G. Clacyssens; and sister, Connie James. He lived in Cleveland for the last 15 years of his life.
He leaves behind two cherished daughters, Angela (Phil) Collier of Cleveland, TN and Teresa Compton of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren: Nathan and Timothy Collier, Emily and Daniel Compton.
He graduated from St. Thomas Catholic High School, Rockford, IL in 1962. After high school he was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves for six years, beginning at Fort Leonard, MO. He then attended the Toledo School of Meat Cutting. He worked for the USPS for ten years, then in the industrial plumbing supply business to finish his career.
His relationship to the Lord was very important to him. He also loved his family, music, and playing pool. He had a fun sense of humor and enjoyed sharing laughs with others. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke you knew his words were meaningful.
In lieu of flowers, he would love for others to donate St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family will have a private service at a later date.
