Cecil Denton Campbell, 89 of Cleveland, TN passed away Monday, March 13, 2017. Cecil was born on February 26, 1928 to the late William and Erma Campbell. Cecil was a U.S Navy Veteran he served in WWII. He was a retired from Combustion Engineering. Cecil was a member of Burdette Baptist Church in Birchwood.
He is proceed in death by his parents listed above, one daughter, Donna Henshall, sisters, Margaret Grubb and Willamae Ozment, brothers, Denny Campbell, and Wendell Campbell.
Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 64 years, Jean Campbell. He is also survived by one daughter, Debra Smith(Jack), five grandchildren, Tonya Suits(Perry), Jessica, Hilson(Mike) Cassie Dial, Hope Safranek(Kris) George Henshall IV(Valerie). Ten Great Grandchildren, Brothers Jim Campbell, Edwin Campbell, and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
A celebration of his life is planned for Wednesday night, March 15th, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Burdette Baptist Church located at 1910 Blythe Ferry Road in Birchwood, TN with the Reverend David Evans, the Reverend Ray Edwards and the Reverend James Staton officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.
The interment and committal service will take place on Thursday morning, March 16th, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Chattanooga National Cemetery and will conclude with full military honors. The funeral procession will leave Companion Funeral Home at 9:30 AM on Thursday morning.
