Catherine Evelyn Chastain

Catherine “Cathy” Evelyn Chastain, 79, went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2020 at a local healthcare facility. Cathy was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late William Edger and Louise Vincent Crowe.
Cathy lived in Cleveland most of her life, working as an X Ray Technician at Bradley Memorial Hospital for many years. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Westwood Baptist. She met her future husband Doug Chastain in a taxi cab shortly after she moved to Cleveland. They later married and had three children, Doug Chastain (Amy), Cynthia Gunter (Jeff) and Stephanie Kent (Bill) and was eventually blessed with 3 grandchildren that Cathy loved and adored, Joseph and Matthew Hicks and the latest addition to the family is Izzy.
The Celebration of Cathy’s life will be held Tuesday March 24, 2020 at 7:00pm via live stream. You are able to find the service on the Companion Funeral Home Facebook Page or on her obituary site below.
