Carolyn Ann Ruth "Sis" Shannon

Carolyn Ann Ruth “Sis” Shannon, 56, a resident of Birchwood, TN passed away on Saturday morning, July 6, 2019 at her home. She was born in Cleveland, TN on April 11, 1963 a daughter of the late George “Cotton” Myers and Sue Pendergrass Myers. Sis was of the Baptist faith. She loved to garden, take photos and reading. Sis was most known for being a great care giver to many people. It was not a job to her, it was her passion.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother Wallace Myers.

Sis leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband David Shannon one son and daughter in law Willie & Denise Shannon, three grandchildren who were the light of her life Eva Rae Shannon, Atlas Shannon and Tyler Kelley, one sister Kathy Myers, special friends Barbara Tinsley and Sherry Leamon, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 12:30 PM in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend David Evans officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 11:00 AM until the 12:30 PM funeral service.

The interment and committal service will follow in the McInturff Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
