Caroline Sue Mantooth, 70, passed away on May 22, 2024 at Tennova Healthcare-Cleveland, surrounded by her family.

Caroline was born on August 2, 1953, to Leroy and Lena Elliott in Roswell, New Mexico. Since her father was a career airman in the United States Air Force (USAF), she grew up on USAF bases from California to South Carolina. Following her father's retirement, the family settled in Cleveland, TN.

Caroline married Larry Mantooth on September 14, 1973, and went on to have two daughters, Liana and Allyssa. After spending several years working as a bookkeeper for Byrd's Electric Motor Service, she became a homemaker. God used her gift of quilting and crafting to touch many lives across the country.

Caroline was proceeded in death by her father, Leroy Elliot, who passed away on December 13, 2022. She is survived by mother Lena Elliott, husband Larry Mantooth, daughters Liana Webb (Tripp) and Allyssa Packett (Scott), grandchildren Nathan Webb, Natalee Webb, Ayden Packett, and Avery Packett, brother Kenny Elliott (Diane), and many other beloved family members.

Services will be held at Companion Funeral & Cremation Services in Cleveland, TN on May 29, 2024. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm followed by the funeral service at 7:00pm, with the Rev. Scott Packett presiding. The family will have a private burial service on May 30, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations in Caroline's honor to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region.
