Carol Lynn Young

Carol Lynn Young, 71, of Old Fort, TN passed away on January 31, 2016. She was born on December 17, 1944 to the late Happy and Dot Collins. Carol had been a resident of this area for more than 25 years after moving here from Louisiana. She was very involved in her church, Candies Creek Baptist Church, loved shopping or “junkin” as her and her sister Susie called it. Above all, Carol loved her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by one son Steven Lee. She leaves behind to cherish her memory son Robert Lee Jr. (Arvida); two daughters: Tracy Jenkins (John), Kelly Allison (Tommy); two brothers: Mike Collins (Suzanne), Tommy Collins (Lurleen); sister Susan Martens (Johnny); grandchildren: Kenny Schenck, Christopher Lee, Crissy Lee, Collin Andrues, Ethan Cavanaugh, Jackson Allison; great granddaughter Adalyn Schenck. In addition to these she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 6, 2016 at Candies Creek Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jamie Work officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service time.
