Carlos Salazar

April 26, 1998 — December 25, 2024

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Carlos Salazar, a beloved son, husband, father, and friend, who entered into eternal rest on December 25, 2024, in Etowah, Tennessee. At just 26 years of age, Carlos brought joy, laughter, and love into the hearts of all who knew him.

Carlos was a man who embraced life fully, guided by a deep devotion to his family and a passion for the simple joys of the world. Born on a summer's day, Carlos's heart was as warm as the sun. He found peace and connection in the outdoors, where fishing and hunting became cherished pastimes. Often adorned in his favorite camouflage, Carlos moved through life with the openness of a kindred spirit, always ready to share a story or a smile with anyone he met.

A loyal fan of the Chicago Bulls, Carlos's love for the game was rivaled only by his adoration for his family. His wife, Yasmin Perez, and their children-Juan Carlos, Jasiel, Gloria, Amelia, and Allison-were the center of his universe. To his beloved mother, Araceli Salazar, and brother, Daniel Cancio Salazar, Carlos was a source of pride and strength. His dear aunt, Julie Salazar, held a special place in his heart, as did his memories of those who preceded him in passing: his father, Carlos Cancio, and his grandparents, Loldra Roman and Toaivio Cancio.

Carlos lived a life of love, laughter, and connection-a life woven with the threads of Latin culture that celebrate the sacredness of family and the beauty of shared moments. His voice, his laughter, and his gentle presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of kindness and warmth will endure in the hearts of those who loved him.

The family will honor Carlos's memory with a service on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel, preceded by visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at Lee Cemetery in McDonald, Tennessee, where he will find eternal peace beneath the open sky he so dearly loved.

Carlos's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. In his memory, may we carry forward his legacy of love, kindness, and a deep appreciation for life's blessings.
