Obituary
Carlos E. Whitmire Sr., 92, a resident of Cleveland passed away on Sunday January 1, 2012 in a local hospital. Carlos was a lifelong resident of Bradley County selling insurance locally for a number of years. He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his parents, Marvin and Stella Whitmire as well as a brother Eulas Whitmire.
He is survived by his son Carlos E. Whitmire, Jr.and wife Judy, daughter Janice Summers and husband Steve, the mother of his children Evealeen Whitmire, sisters, Jeanette Mull and Genevia Whitmire. Survivors also included grandson, Keith Whitmire and wife Ealeanor, and granddaughter Renee Hampton, great grand children, Shelbie Whitmire, Kelsey Whitmire, Karli Bledsoe and Drew Bledsoe as well as a host of extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, January 5th, 2012 at Tasso United Methodist Cemetery located at 1106 Tasso Lane NE, Cleveland, TN 37312. The Reverend Steve Summers will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be made the Tasso United Methodist Cemetery Fund, 1106 Tasso Lane NE, Cleveland, TN 37312.
