Carl Herbert Setterberg

Carl H. Setterberg of 186 Setterberg Road in Philadelphia, TN was born in Hartford, CT on December 7, 1921 and died at the age of 97 on February 14, 2019. He was 20 years old on Pearl Harbor Day and enlisted in the Navy. He started in the amphibious force on the LTC’s and was later transferred to Navy Civil affairs.
Carl when he passed, left his wife of 44 years Lois Doy Setterberg, his three step children Mark Curran of CT, Eileen Curran of FL and Sharon Lightbourn of FL and their families. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.
A memorial service is planned for Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the church he attended – Athens Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church is located at 230 New Englewood Road in Athens, TN. The family will receive friends at the church on March 17th from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM with the memorial service beginning at 4:00 PM.
