Carl "CJ" Fortune

Call Edwin Fortune Jr., known to friends and family as CJ, passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on May 4, 1972, in Chattanooga, TN, CJ called Cleveland, TN his home. A dedicated tree cutter, he ran his own tree service business and was known for his hard work and commitment to his craft.

CJ had a vibrant personality and passions that extended beyond his work. He loved to paint with oils and acrylics, often exploring the beauty of the world through his artwork. His fascination with history, particularly World War I and II, enriched his understanding of the past and often influenced his creative expressions.

CJ is survived by his loving wife, Kathey Fortune; his son, Charles Fortune, and daughter-in-law, Rachael; his sons, Steven Patrick and Bradley Patrick, along with daughter-in-law, Sara Patrick; his granddaughter, Kyla Patrick; his sister, Carla West; and brother-in-law, Brent West. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and cherished the memories they created together. CJ's journey may have come to an end, but the impact he made in the lives of those around him will live on in their hearts.
