Buford Lamar Green, Sr.

Buford L. Green, Sr. (Lamar), 67, of Pikeville, TN, passed away on February 2, 2022, in Cleveland, TN.

Buford L. Green, Sr. was born in Pikeville, TN, to Buford and Charlette Green on April 5, 1954. He married the love of his life, Brenda Kay Henley, on August 29, 1988. He worked as a lineman for Wheland Foundry until he sustained an injury. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged. He loved to be outdoors so he could hunt, fish, and work on cars. He always had a project going on. He recently became a child of God by asking Jesus to forgive him of his sins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Buford and Charlette Green, son Timothy Green, and sister Wanda Faye Roberts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Kay Green; son, Burford Lamar Jr; stepchildren: Barbara Adele Potts-Carney (James), Andrea Gibbs (Michael), Brandy Olivia Sims (Andy); and thirteen loving grandchildren.

There will be a small private service. The family asks that you remember the good times that you shared with Lamar to honor his memory.
