"Bud" Elbert Leon Allen, 73, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, former resident of Algood, Tennessee. Passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was born on June 4, 1943 in Gainesboro, Tennessee to the late Dallas and Daffo Phillips Allen. Bud loved to go fishing and to play volleyball. He loved more than anything to be around people. Although he was known for many things, he was most known for being an extremely hard-working man and being a great father. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Johnnie Allen, Billy Allen, Charlie “B” Allen, and Betty Mathis; special uncle, Boots Phillips; special niece, Karen Allen Noles, and special friend, Elese Peak.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Tony Allen (Cathy); daughter, Diane Allen Wilson (Roy); mother of his children, Linda Beck; grandchildren, Colton Wilson, Brady Wilson, Jordan Wilson, and Jada Sue; siblings, Willie C. Allen (Louise), Bob R. Allen (Robin), and Doris Lamb (Clyde), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends from Life Care of Cleveland.
A celebration of life service will be held at 7:30PM on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, with Minister Guinn Green officiating the service.
The family will receive friends two hours prior, from 5:30pm until the 7:30pm service time.
There will also be a celebration of life service at 1:00pm on Friday, March 17, 2017 held at the Burristown Church of Christ, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, with Minister Guinn Green officiating.
Visitation will be held two hours prior, from 11:00am until the 1:00pm service time.
Bud will be laid to rest following the service on Friday, in the Old Antioch Cemetery, in Jackson County, TN.
