Bruce Holt Brouker, a true anchor of his community, sailed in the sunset at the age of 64, on February 27, 2024. Born in Bristol, CT on January 8, 1960, Bruce charted a course that was marked by loyalty, laughter, and an abundance of love.
A veteran of the Coast Guard, Bruce navigated through life with the same steadfastness and courage he displayed in service. He was the kind of person who could quilt together a room of strangers with his warmth and paint smiles on the face of friends and family.
Bruce's crew, who will continue to sail the sea of life without his physical presence, includes his son, Daniel, daughter, Tommie, sisters, Lori Brouker and Marion Daniel, brother, Jeff Brouker, along with a fleet of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He was welcomed to the eternal marina by his late parents, Allyn and Virginia Brouker (Ferrante).
Known for dropping anchor at the Pikeville United Methodist Church, Bruce's faith was as strong as a ship's hull. His hobbies weren't just pastimes; they were the patches in the quilt of life and the strokes of color on the canvas of his days.
All hands on deck for a celebration of Bruce's voyage on March 9th, 2024 at 2:00 pm CST at the Pikeville United Methodist Church, where tales of his adventures will be shared.
You are encouraged to share a memory of Bruce and/or your personal condolences with his family by visiting his memorial webpage and guestbook at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Athens is honored to assist his family with these arrangements.
Bruce Holt Brouker, may your spirit continue to steer us in the right direction as we navigate our own journeys. Fair winds and following seas.
