Brian Elijah Moore

Obituary

Brian Elijah Moore, 37, a resident of Cleveland, passed away August 26, 2011 as a result of an automobile accident.

Brian was born and raised here in Cleveland by his loving parents Joan Moore and the late Bill Moore. Brian, a graduate from Bradley Central High School in 1991, enjoyed NASCAR, woodworking, water sports, cooking, and volunteer work in his spare time.

Brian attended Georgetown Baptist Church in Dayton, TN and was a Christian who lived a life wrapped in the love of Jesus. He would have us remember one thing: know Jesus, live, walk, trust and rest in Him. His family cherishes the memories of his faithful love for all, which was rooted in Jesus’ faithful love for him.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elijah and Lella Mae Moore and Minnie Brown and will forever be remembered by his sisters, Yvonne Moore Leamon of Cleveland, TN, Victoria Moore Preston of Louisville, KY, brothers, Rick Shelton of Charleston, TN, Stephen Moore of Chattanooga, TN, and Michael Torbett of Spokane, WA, nieces, Amanda Waters Price of Athens, TN, Caroline Preston of Louisville, KY, pets, Spencer, Ruger, and Lacey, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. He had a passion for animals and adopted several rescue animals. Brian ended every conversation with his family: “I love you. Wear your seatbelt. Repent daily.”

“Some glad morning when this life is over, I’ll fly away. When the shadows of this life have grown, I’ll fly away. Just a few more weary days and then, I’ll fly away.”

The family will hold a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Joan Moore, 183 Old Georgetown Road, Cleveland, TN 37312 so that she can make donations to causes that were dear to Brian.

Companion Funeral & Cremation Service has charge of arrangements.
