Brenda Roublau Sires Perniciaro, entered into eternal life on Friday, January 3, 2025 at the age of 77, peacefully with her family at her side in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was born on December 27, 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was the beloved daughter of the late Emile Roublau Jr, and late Clare Prieto; stepdaughter of the late Mathias Katz. Brenda was a devoted wife to her husband Leon J. Perniciaro Jr. By first marriage, she and the late Henry John Sires Sr. were blessed with her late son Henry John Sires Jr, her daughter, Shawn (Elden) Earhart and late son Shane Sires; Stepmother to Andrea Vaughan(Curtis), Leon Perniciaro lll (Stephanie) Maria Perniciaro. She was a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren Joshua Earhart (Chelsea), Bethany Decker (Dillon) and Colby John Hardy. She was an adored great-grandmother of Avalee, Alivia, Axel, Demi, Desi, and Deklan. Sister of the late Emile Roublau lll, the late Clare Morrell (Leroy) and the late John "Johnny" Roublau. Stepsister to Gene Katz (Carla), Linda Rimkus (Rich), late Albert Katz (late Marion), Judy Theriot (Terry), late Harold Katz Sr. (Marianne) and Ronald Katz (V A Dufrene). She was a beloved sister-in-law to Marlene Crifasi(late Jake), Anna D'Angelo (Joey), the late Adlai Sires, (former wife Tina), the late Lucian D'Angelo, Peggy Perniciaro, Elaine Hodges (Jim), Noel Perniciaro and Gary Perniciaro (Gaynelle). She has many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Brenda graduated from Nicholls High School in New Orleans Louisiana and enjoyed a fulfilling career using her strong work ethic as a secretary for the Department of Defense. Throughout her life, she made an indelible mark on those around her with her unwavering spirit and compassion.
Brenda had a deep love for her family and took great joy in cooking for them during holidays, creating special meals that brought everyone together. Her talent for sewing allowed her to craft clothes not only for her children, but also for her great grandchildren, leaving a legacy of love and care sewn into each stitch. She was known to her family as being the strongest person with the biggest heart. Brenda was a devoted Catholic and prayed for her family and friends daily. Brenda would rather give than receive and blessed so many with her love.
An avid card player, Brenda enjoyed gathering with friends and family for long evenings filled with laughter and competition. Her home was always open to loved ones and she took delight in hosting celebratory gatherings that fostered connection and joy. Brenda was a strong, smart and independent woman who took care of many people throughout her life.
Brenda's interest extended beyond nurturing her family. She had a passion for gardening, embracing the beauty of nature and took pride in her vibrant, flowers and plants. A devoted sports fan, she cheered for the New Orleans Saints and LSU football teams with unwavering enthusiasm. In her leisure time she explored her creativity through crafting and jewelry making, always seeking to add a personal touch to her projects. Known for her competitive spirit, Brenda excelled in various recreational activities, including pool, darts, karaoke, volleyball, bowling, and softball, often drawing her family and friends into her joyous pursuits. She had a particular fondness for collecting music and movies curating a diverse assortment that reflected her eclectic taste and love for storytelling.
Brenda Clare Roublau Sires Perniciaro will be remembered for the warmth and joy she brought into the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her memory will endure in the hearts of her family and friends who will cherish moments shared with her.
In keeping with Brenda's wishes there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, celebrate Brenda's life with donations to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital. Brenda's Facebook page will remain open and all are open to post memories and final words.
