Brenda Jo Shamblin

Brenda Jo Shamblin, 62, of Charleston, TN passed away on January 30, 2018. She was born on November 9, 1955 in Rockwood, TN to the late Arvil and Macie Johnson. Brenda was a lifelong resident of this area and has been a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church for nearly 30 years, where she also enjoyed traveling on youth trips. Brenda also enjoyed camping and scrapbooking. She worked for the Bradley County Health Department for 25 years.
She is preceded in death by her father Arvil Johnson.
Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 40 years, David Shamblin; mother Macie Johnson; three sons: David “Crockett” Shamblin; Heath Shamblin (Callie) of Spokane, WA; and Josh Shamblin; brother Steven Johnson (Sharon); grandchildren: Maddie Shamblin, Lake Shamblin, Colby Shamblin, Macy Shamblin, Brodie Shamblin, Landen Shamblin, and Graceon Knox Shamblin; niece Amy Fontenot; nephews: Scott Johnson, Chris Allen, and Kenneth Allen.
The family will receive friends on Friday February 2, 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Candies Creek Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm in Candies Creek Cemetery following the visitation. Rev. Stan Gibson will officiate the committal service.
