Bonnie Louise Hyde, age 76 a lifelong resident of Niota passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Niota on November 30, 1942 a daughter of the late Clarence & Lena Mae Thompson. Miss Bonnie was a true witness for the Lord and was loved by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister Jo Ann Gunter.
Bonnie leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving husband of 27 years Eddie Hyde, two daughters and their spouses Shirley & Kenneth Hall of Sweetwater and Michelle & Ricky Strickland of Niota, one step daughter Lisa Hyde Coleman, grandchildren and their spouses Jessica & Chuck Long, Louis “Louie” & Rachael Bartlett all of Sweetwater, great grandchildren Jase, Levi & Cooper Bartlett, brother in law Charles Gunter of Niota and sister in law and her husband Kathy & R. N. Millsaps of Decatur. She is also survived by a host of special friends who called her: Mom, Sister & Grandmother including her pastor and his wife Eric & Twannia Hines.
The family would like to say a special thank you to her daily care takers: Polly Montooth, Alice Farley and Janie Sweet. Also, thanks to Hospice Care of Chattanooga for their host of services with a special sincere thanks to Miss Bonnie’s daily CNA Felisha Taylor. You will always be a part of her family. Thank you for seeing her thru from start to finish of her final journey.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, October 7, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Community Baptist Church located at 120 County Road 287 Niota, TN 37826. A service celebrating her life is planned for 7:00 PM on Monday evening at the church following the visitation with the Reverend Eric Hines and the Reverend Vernon Webb officiating.
The interment and committal service will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
