In Loving Memory of Bonnie Hamre

Bonnie Hamre, aged 86, passed away on December 19, 2023, in Hixson, TN. A woman of unwavering Christian faith, Bonnie found joy in simple pleasures and embraced a life filled with love and cherished moments.

Bonnie's days were brightened by her passion for sewing, the thrill of bingo and Yahtzee games, the satisfaction of completing word searches, and the camaraderie of her exercise class. Her zest for life was contagious, leaving an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to share in her company.

Bonnie is survived by her loving sons William (Sonia) Chomycia and Nicholas (Pamela) Chomycia, and daughters Sonja (Henry) Howe and Penny Rogers. Her memory lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Jennifer (Parker) Evans, William (Kristen) Kuhn, Andrew Howe, Brookanne (Travis) String, Dani'l Chomycia, Adan Lara, and Gavin Chomycia. She is also remembered by her great-grandchildren: Brady Evans, Travis String Jr., Jack String, Adam String, Sawyer Kuhn, Reese Kuhn, Quinn, and Quinn Kuhn. Bonnie leaves behind nieces Lonnie (Don) Cummings, Shirley (Greg) Freeman, Pam (Eich) Kuntz, Anita Townsley, and sister-in-law Mary Quillin.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Gary Hamre, her parents William and Grace Hockey, brother Billie Hockey, and sisters Janette Townsley and Janet Townsley, as well as Doris Barnard and nephew Charlie Townsley.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Hearth Hospice at hearthhospice.com. A heartfelt thank you is extended to Regency House ALF and Hearth Hospice for their extraordinary care over the last five years of Bonnie's life. The people there, Bonnie considered as family, and the Hamre family is forever grateful.

Final arrangements for Mrs. Hamre have been entrusted to Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Chattanooga Chapel. May Bonnie's spirit find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Her family burial will be on January 15, 2024 @10am at:
