Bobby Griffith born October 31, 1935 went to his eternal home April 5, 2024. Bobby was a life-long resident of Bradley County. As a follower of Jesus Christ, Bob was a member of First Christian Church.
His love for all sports began at an early age but his favorite was football. While attending Bradley High School, he received several awards for his efforts on the field including the Cleveland Jaycees Blocker of the Year. He played football a short time for the University of Tennessee but returned to Cleveland to marry Sandra Ragsdale.
A retiree of Whirlpool, Bob worked in several areas of the organization but finished his career as an inventory supervisor. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling and following the Atlanta Braves.
He was preceeded in death by his wife of 56 years Sandra Ragsdale Griffth. Parents Wallace and Vida (Officer) Griffith, brothers, Earl and J. P Griffith. Son-in-law, Tony Cavett and parents by marriage, Bill and Mae (Hamilton) Ragsdale. Bob was survived by his daughter, Jena Cavett. Two grandchildren Kristen (Rickey) Lawson and Corey (Kimberly) Cavett. Two great grandchildren, Kinsley and Owen Cavett.
A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Friday, April 12 th at 11:00am. with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating.
