Bobby Gene Murray

Obituary
Bobby Gene Murray, 75, of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 after a debilitating disease due to a stroke suffered in 2000. He was the youngest of four children born to the late Clyde L. and Hazel Murray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Oneita Murray Guinn; his brother, Dean Murray; and recently his son, David L. Murray. He is survived by his brother, C.L. Murray and wife Linda; daughter, Cyndi Murray Brown; granddaughter, Amanda Brown Kee and husband Eric; grandson, Trey Brown; great-grandson, Braiden Brown; great-granddaughter, Harper Kee; nephews, nieces, cousins and countless friends.
 
Bobby was an Army Veteran, serving in the late 50’s. He was a retired Master Machinist, having worked for the Martin Marietta Y-12 and Lockheed Martin Nuclear Plants. He enjoyed farming, reading, gardening, and was an outdoorsman. Bobby loved social events with friends, but his joy was his grandchildren visiting them whenever possible and attending their sporting events. We find comfort in those memories and knowing that he is now with the Lord.
 
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the New Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church located at 310 New Murraytown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37312. Interment will follow in the Murray Cemetery. The family will gather and greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
