Bobby Eugene Jones

Bobby Eugene Jones, 81, of Cleveland, TN passed away on May 8, 2018. He was born on June 14, 1936 to the late Joe B. and Martha Scoggins Jones. Bobby was a lifelong resident of Bradley County. Bobby was saved at the age of 10 years old and has been a lifelong member of Mt. Olive Church of God. He was employed by Burlington Woolen Mill and Duracell 33 years. Bobby was also a farmer his entire life. Above all things, he was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather who loved spending time with his family. One of his favorite pastimes was coaching the Duracell Coppertops to many state tournaments, bringing home the hardware.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by one son Timothy “Tim” Jones; infant sister Martha Jo; sister Mary Frances “Sis” Hughes; brothers in law Junior Hughes and Jack Vaughn.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 61years, Robbie Poole Jones; daughters Jaton Hundley (Don), Robin Craft (John), Zandra Jarnagin (Johnie); son Lyndon Jones (Tina); brother Rev. Johnie Jones; sister Carrie Dean Vaughn; grandchildren: Aaron Wood, Cheri Wood, Timmy Jones, Jessica Jones, Talania Thomas, Tyler Green, Alexis Craft, Megan Howard, Sgt. Trevor Jones, Cpl. Mason Jones, Ty Jones, Jacob Jarnagin, Jason Jarnagin, Shawna Bradford, Staff Sgt. Jonathan Trottman, Brittany Dills, Heather Duke, and Lindsey Arp; 34 great grandchildren; and daughter in law Karen Jones. In addition to these, Bobby leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Friday May 11, 2018 at Mt. Olive Church of God located at 3522 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37312. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday May 12, 2018 at Mt. Olive Church of God with Rev. Gary Sears and Rev. James Sears officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Mount Olive Cemetery.
