Billy and Alice Miller

Billy Miller, 81, a resident of Charleston, TN passed away on Wednesday morning, April 3, 2024. He was joined by his beloved bride Alice Miller, 86, in their eternal home in Heaven on Thursday morning, April 4, 2024, just 26 hours later.

Billy was born in Rocky Face, GA on April 18, 1942, grew up on Signal Mt and later relocated to Charleston, TN approximately 60 years ago. He is preceded in death by his parent Andrew & Tommie Miller, two sisters Wilma Flippo & Henrietta Flippo and one brother J. L. Miller. He is survived by three brothers Edward Miller, Raymond Miller and Winford Miller.

Alice was born in Decatur, TN on August 26, 1937, and lived there until marrying Billy on February 13, 1960, and starting their life together in Charleston. She is preceded in death by her parents Frances & Hattie Farris, two son Michael Griffith and Ray Griffith, six siblings Arvil Farris, Earl Farris, Willie Woody, Laurie Durham, Cecil Farris and Hazel Farris. She is survived by one son Jerry Griffith and his family.

Together Billy and Alice leave behind to cherish their memory two daughter Melva Wright and Susan Chrisman, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A service celebrating their lives will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the Athens Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN with the Reverend Billy Leamon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM memorial service.
