Billy Hood

Billy Gene Hood, 92, of Delano Tennessee went to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Billy loved the Lord and his family. He was a member of Faith Baptist Tabernacle in Athens, Tennessee. He enjoyed camping and rides in the mountains where he was raised. Billy was involved in prison ministries, playing and singing for his church, and worshipping the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his wife Nellie Ray Hood; his mother and father Leora Alice and John W. Hood; daughter Linda (Randy) Schulz; Stepson Jeffrey Lynn Hatmaker; Sisters Betty Scroggins, Bobbi Grubb, Johnnie Lou, Laura Hooper ; Brothers Charlie Hood.

Left to cherish his memory are his son David (Jackie) Hood; daughter Nancy Sheffler; stepson Wayne Hatmaker; sister Anne (Charlie) Adams, Brother in law Tommy Hooper; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and church family.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Faith Baptist Tabernacle in Athens, TN with visitation prior from 1PM until 2PM. Billy will be laid to rest following the service at Earl's Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Evans officiating the service.
