Billy Gerald Hackler

Billy Gerald Hackler, 78, of McDonald, TN passed away on January 4, 2018. He was born on April 7, 1940 to the late Clarence King and Reece Hackler King. Gerald enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was also an active member of the McDonald Ruritan Club. He will be most remembered for how he loved his family and treated his nieces, nephews, and all the children in his family as his own.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Betty Hackler; grandparents Charles O. and Tressie Hackler; brothers Charles Hackler and Clarence “Bud” Hackler; sisters Dorothy Hamblin and Charlotte Sowders.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory one brother Van Hackler and wife Anna of Toledo, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday January 7, 2018 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am on Monday January 8, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Corinth Cemetery.
