Billy Clarence Mason

Billy Mason, age 86 of Georgetown, departed this life on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.Born on February 1, 1936 in Sweetwater, Tennessee to the late Claude and Ethel Mason, he lived a majority of his life in Meigs County and was a member of Eastview Baptist Church. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force and member of the Coast Guard Auxillary; Billy was retired from Bradley County Schools after 25 years of teaching at Hopewell Elementary. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on the farm and with his family.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Colegrove Mason; children, Linda Gail Mason-Silva(Felix), Billy Mason II, Diana Mason Bivens(Alan), and Regina Brantley (Wayne); grandchildren, Christina Seeley(Joe), Zach Driggers(Amy), Piper Brantley, Bree and Tia Brantley, Macy Bivens, and Rachel Bivens; great-grandchildren, Nora, Rae, Ashton and Lucy; brother, Carl Mason and sister, Betty Thompson; as well as several extended family members and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Billy Clarence Mason will be held at 11 AM Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Eastview Baptist Church with Shane Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 8PM on Friday April 15, 2022 at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
