Billy Arley Stokes

William Arley "Billy" Stokes, age 76, of Cleveland, TN departed this life on November 18, 2020. Billy was born in Cleveland on April 2, 1944 to the late William and Frankie Stokes. He was a lifelong resident of Bradley County. Billy was a member of West Cleveland Church of God. He was the Owner and Operator of Stokes Trucking for more than 38 years. Billy enjoyed being a christian, talking about god, spending time with his family, and fishing.
In addition to his parents Billy is preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Blackwell; brothers, George Stokes, Paul Stokes, Melvin Stokes, and Carl Stokes.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 57 years, Kay Stokes; children, Billy Stokes, Jeff Stokes, and Tonya; grandchildren, Chris, Justin, Jonathan, Cindy, Derrick, Alex, Lindsey, and Katie. Billy also leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life and home going for William Arley "Billy" Stokes will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel with Chris Stokes officiating. Interment will follow in Earls Cemetery with Danny Joe Stokes, Verlin Hooker, Scotty Hooker, Robert Stokes, Danny Black, and Jeremy Clonce serving as pallbearers
The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, December 1, 2020 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel.
