Billy Fred Allen of Cleveland, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord Jesus he loved at the age of 88 on December 12, 2023. He was affectionately known as Freddie, Biscuit, Daddy, Pop Pop, BF, and Coach. He was born on March 17, 1935 in Ozone, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and GS Allen and his infant son Edward.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Laura Anne, his twin brother Bobby Ed Allen (Pat), his son Terry (Karen), his daughter Beth, his six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church.

He graduated from Cumberland County High School where he played football and baseball.

He went on to Tennessee Wesleyan University where he played football and baseball, was elected student body president, and sang in the school choir before transferring to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he continued to play baseball and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Transportation in 1959.

His passions included coaching little league baseball and football, golf, gardening, yard work, and spending time with his family.

He was richly blessed with family and friends all throughout his life. Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of life at the Cleveland Country Club from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broad Street United Methodist Church at PO Box 3 Cleveland, TN 37364-0003.
