Billie Davis

February 19, 1933 — November 11, 2024

Billie Jean Davis, 91, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024, surrounded by her family.

She was born on February 19, 1933, in Cleveland. She was the daughter of William and Eula Mae Thompson Cartwright. She grew up in Mouse Creek Valley and loved to tell stories of the "good old days" in that area.

Billie graduated from Charleston High School in 1951 and graduated valedictorian of her class, which she proudly reminded us of. She was a homemaker and loved shopping and selling antiques. She loved to hunt for the bargains. She was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, J.W. Hindman; and second husband, EK Davis.

She is survived by her children, LuAnn Lawson (Junior), Jim Hindman (Debbie), Laurie Wilson (Travis), and Kris Davis (Linda); grandchildren Erin Jenne, Kellye Lowe (Chris), Seth Hindman (Rachel), Amanda Hindman, Lily Burris (Rodney), Ashlie Dashler (Michael) and Hunter Davis; step grandchildren Arianna Davis, Allie Miller, Morgan, Chance, Katlin, and Chloe Wilson, John Nerren, Leah Gibson, and Hilary Tinney; great grandchildren Will Jenne (Albian), Jake Jenne, Rylann Lowe, Colton Hindman, Maelie Burris, Logan Dashler, Madelynn Dashler and EK Davis; great great grandson, Shepherd Jenne; sister-in-law, Anna Ruth Crumbley; and her beloved cat, Cindy.

A graveside service will be held at Tasso United Methodist Church Cemetery on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at 11:00 am.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga and Bradley Medical Center for their exceptional care during our Mom's illness.
