Bill Geren

Bill Blackburn Geren, age 82, born and raised in Bradley County Tennessee, stepped into eternity to meet the Lord, June 27, 2024. Bill loved to hunt, fish and watch Tennessee take the field on Saturdays in the fall. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Decatur but was unable to attend the last several years during his battle with dementia and Alzheimer's.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Suil and Irene Geren, and by his brother, Teddy Paul Geren.

He leaves behind his son, Eric (Nicci) Geren, and his daughter, Jennifer Slack. Bill also leaves behind 4 beautiful granddaughters. Jessi (Ethan) Whaley, Morgan Slack, Hallie Slack and Emma Geren.

A memorial service will be held at Standfield Baptist Church on July 12, 2024, with visitation from 4-6pm, followed by a service at 6pm.
