Betty Sue Young

Betty Sue Young, 87, passed away on May 14, 2025. She was born to the late Benjamin Lee and Mary Emma Richardson on April 4, 1938 in Summerville, Georgia.

Betty loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, and was known to go to the beauty shop every Friday, and spend many hours there.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by the father of her children, and first husband, Frank Price, second husband, William Young, siblings, Gloria Mae Magnusson, Clarence Barrett Richardson, and Bobby Eugene Richardson, and her son, James Ronald Price.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Franklins (Jennifer) Price, Sherry (Richie) Burns, daughter-in-law, Kay Price, grandchildren, Nick Price, Dylan (Ashley) Price, Cody (Linda) Price, Tanner (Jessica) Burns, Lindsey (Edward) Stiles, Shelli (James) Passavent, great-grandchildren, Riley, Olivia, Bentley and Easton Burns, Masen and Annie Stiles, Kelby and Dani Mae Passavent, Mason and Mia Price, brother, Billy (Diane Richardson, her brother-in-law, Randle Magnusson, and her Special niece, Staci and her husband Paul, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Cleveland Chapel with Reverend Guinn Green officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
