Betty Yates

Betty H. Yates, 89, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Betty was born on February 27, 1935, in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Rev. Harry and Margaret Henderson. Betty was lifelong member of the Church of God. In her spare time Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Betty also enjoyed traveling across the country with her husband.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Nolin; and her brother, Ray Henderson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 68 years, Richard B. Yates; her sons, Rick (Glenna) Yates, and Randy (Kelly) Yates; her brothers, David Henderson, and Mike Henderson; sister, Martha Morrison; her grandchildren, Brandon (Michelle) Yates, Adam (Kristi) Yates, Sarah (Tyler) Stafford, Garrett (Kailey) Yates, and Rebecca (Jeremy) Caruthers; and her great grandchildren, Hailey (Landon) Jones, Hope Dyson, Becca Dyson, Cole Yates, Brady Yates, Easton Stafford, Maelynn Caruthers, Everly Stafford, Myles Caruthers, Mason Caruthers, and Margot Yates; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Hopewell Church of God at 12:00 pm with Pastor Todd McDaniel officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
