Betty Lou Turner, 73, of Decatur, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Betty was born in Athens, Tennessee on September 14, 1949, to the late Elmer and Dorothy Swafford.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Swafford and Dorothy Cranfild Swafford.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 53 years, Harold Turner, her two sons, Franklin Turner, and Eddie (Jeramy) Turner; grandchildren, Tylor (Megan) Skidmore, Kasey (Haley) Skidmore, Billie (Brandon) Perry; her great grandchildren, Ezekiel Skidmore, Anaiah Skidmore, and Brodey Perry; siblings, Jewell (Barbara) Swafford, Wayne (Connie) Swafford, Tim Swafford, and Diane Moore; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A Celebration of life Service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens with Pastor Jimmy Lewis officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm prior to the service.
