Betty Joyce Dunn

Betty Joyce Dunn of Oldfort, TN passed away on March 5, 2017. She was born on March 30, 1932 to the late Charles and Pearl Castello. Betty has been a lifelong resident of this area and was a seamstress by trade. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed walking, working with flowers, shopping, and was an avid Elvis Presley fan.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her daughter Shirley Dunn Fletcher; brothers: Bobby Castello and wife Madelyn, Charles A. Castello and wife Dorothy, and James Castello; sister Margaret Geren and her husband Richard; grandson Trampus Baxter; brother in law Robert Duncan; sister and brother in law Mildred and Ed Serum; mother and father in law Frank and Pearl Dunn.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 62 years Frank Dunn; daughter Brenda Lowder (Tim) of Concord, NC; brother John Castello; son in law Danny Fletcher; sisters Nancy Henry and Patsy Duncan; sister in law Phyllis Castello; grandchildren Eli Lowder and Jacob Lowder; aunt Evelyn Bazzell. In addition to these she leaves behind numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:30 pm on Wednesday March 8, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church located at 358 US Highway 64, Ocoee, Tennessee 37361-0306. A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Wednesday at the church following the visitation. Interment will follow the service at Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery.
