Betty Joann Ellison

Betty Joann Ellison, born November 15, 1941, in Vonore, TN, peacefully departed on August 2, 2023, in Cleveland, TN. She was the heart and soul of her family, preceded in death by her parents Fred and Willie Mae Woody, her brothers Noah Woody, and spouses Charles E. Ellison and Jack Maddox.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving children, Tina Brannon and Charles A. Ellison, her doting grandchildren, Rachel Signer Smith, Joshua Signer, and Brittney Branham, and adored great-grandchildren Darius, Gracie, and Sadie. Betty's legacy also continues through her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and cherished friends.

Betty had an unquenchable spirit of creativity, expressed through her love for painting, sketching, and arts and crafts. Her devotion to her faith was unwavering, and she found solace and community at the Victory Drive Church of God. A light in many lives, Betty's memory will be held dear.
