Betty Jean Henry Turner

Betty Jean Henry Turner, 87, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away August 1, 2023 with her children by her side. Mrs. Turner was born in Fannin County, Georgia and she was the daughter of Wayne and Lavelle Henry.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Larry Turner and sister, Joyce Welch.

Mrs. Turner retired from the County Clerk’s office after 21 years of service. She enjoyed her friends and family and cooking the best Thanksgiving meals for a huge family of Turners to come and enjoy. She enjoyed reading every book she could get her little hands on and listening to music. She attended First Baptist Church until she began watching the services on television.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Turner Tinsley and son-in-law, Dwight Tinsley of Cleveland, TN; son, Joe Turner and daughter-in-law, Sidney Turner of Cleveland, TN; and granddaughter, Laura Turner of Cleveland, TN.

There will be a private memorial held at a later date.
