Betty Armstrong

Betty Jean Armstrong, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday November 6, 2023 at Signature Healthcare. She was the daughter of the late Velma Hall and James McCloud. Betty Jean was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and a teacher in the Bradley County School System for more than 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Barbara Ann Wallace, Virgil McCloud, Ronnie McCloud, Wayne Burchfield, and Dennis Burchfield, as well as her son Jerome Armstrong.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Jennifer McCracken (Kenny), Michael Armstrong (Jenny), and Kelly Noble (Joe); brother Jimmy McCloud (B.K), grandson Preston Armstrong; granddaughter Amy Kizer (Colby); and two great grandaughters Avery and Addie. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and special friends: Joy, Vicky, Tammy, Cora, and Marty.

Her family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Friday November 10th at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7pm. She will be laid to rest at Morgan Cemetery in Reliance, TN.
