Betty Harper

Betty Jo Harper, 86, of Cleveland, TN passed away on October 23, 2023 at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland, TN.

Betty is preceded in death by her son Stevie Harper, her mother Mary Alice (Charlie) Gibson, her father Earl Rogers, her sister Pauline Patterson, her mother and father-in-law Hewlett and Nellie Harper.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of over 70 years, Billy Harper, her sons Jimmy (Teresa) Harper and Jeff (Pam) Harper; her daughters Brenda Morrow and Darlene Derryberry; her brother Bill (Judy) Rogers. Betty also leaves behind her 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty and her husband Billy Harper were over the 58 Boat Dock and campground, and the Armstrong Ferry Campground for many years. She was an excellent cook and treated everyone that came into the restaurant like they were her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to all the doctors and nurses at Tennova Healthcare that helped her and the family members as she was passing.

At this time there will be no services and the family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
