Betty Evelyn Millsaps

Betty Evelyn Millsaps, 89, a resident of Birchwood, TN passed away on Monday evening, October 10, 2022, in a Decatur, TN healthcare facility. She was born in Birchwood, TN on February 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Thomas and Tennessee Matthews. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and taking care of everyone. She will be forever remembered for her big heart.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Marshall Verlon Millsaps Sr., two daughters Betty June Millsaps and Donna Sue Allison, daughter in law Kimberly Millsaps, three sisters Drew Pendergrass, Bobbie Jean McKinney and Carolyn Pierce and one brother Sonny Matthews.

Evelyn Leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons Marshall V. Millsaps Jr. and his wife Holly and Jerry Lee Millsaps, three grandchildren Dakota Curtis, Brandon Allison and April Allison, one great grandson Memphis Nichols, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM in the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A service celebrating her life will follow the visitation time on Friday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Mark Johnson officiating.

The interment will follow in the McInturff Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
