Betty Darnell

Betty Jean Darnell, 81, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Betty was born on July 17, 1942, in Etowah, Tennessee to the late Reva Bowers Watson.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Darnell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Larry Whitney, and Kasie Herzig; daughter, Tressia (Brad) Ayers; her grandchildren, Brandon Whitney, Christopher (Britnee) Whitney, Matthew (Sydney) Whitney, and Jocelyn Whitney; stepsons, Mark Darnell, and John Darnell; four grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Ball Play Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Harris officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery.
