Betty Ann Townsend

Betty Ann Townsend, 67, a longtime resident of Cleveland, Tn passed away on Saturday morning, May 30, 2020 at her home. She was born in Knoxville, TN on January 11, 1953 a daughter of the late Edward Lundy and Evelyn Pressley Lundy. Betty was a member of the Liberty Gospel Tabernacle. She will forever be remembered for being a loving and caring sister, wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister Sandra Junkin.

Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 48 years Claude Townsend, one daughter Joy Townsend, two sons Matthew Townsend (Angela) and Robert Lundy, grandchildren Jackson Townsend, Samuel Pinner, Ashley Lundy and her new grandson due to make his appearance in July Jasper Townsend, one great grandchild Kaylee Lundy, one sister Jo Lundy (Charles Seepe) of Athens, TN, two brothers Gene Vess (Data) of South Pittsburg, TN and Eddie Lundy (Donna), numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 PM with the Reverend Hershel Earwood officiating.

Interment will follow in the Moore's chapel cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
