Bernice Trotter Barham

Bernice Trotter Barham entered into Eternal Life with her Savior Jesus Christ in heaven on Friday, September 2, 2022. Funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Spring Creek United Methodist Church in Riceville, TN on 115 County Road 36 with Reverends: Lee Arrington, Travis Arrington, Trent Arrington and Tristan Fowler officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm. Graveside service will immediately follow the service at the Spring Creek Cemetery.

Bernice was born in Cleveland, TN to Glen and Violet Trotter. Bernice and Johnny Barham were united in marriage on June 16, 1961 and have celebrated 61 years of marriage together.

Bernice was a committed follower of Jesus Christ. She was devoted to her husband, her three children, and her family and friends and delighted in spending time with them. She loved traveling and crafting. Bernice was a life-long member of South Cleveland United Methodist Church where she faithfully and joyfully served in many capacities including women’s ministry, prayer ministry, Bible School, and various church boards and committees. She loved to sing and share her beautiful alto voice in the choir.

Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Violet (Murphy) Trotter, and brother, Farrell Trotter. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Barham, son Tony (Tammy) Barham, daughter Traci (Lee) Arrington, and Todd (Lisa) Barham, six grandchildren: Travis, Trent, Tristan, Tiana, Blake & Aubrey as well as two great-grandchildren: Asa & Asher, brother Darrell (Polly) Trotter, brother Jerry (Nancy) Trotter, brother Harold (Pam) Trotter as well as many very special cousins, aunt Peggy (Lonnie) Gross, brother-in-law Gary (Linda) Barham, nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

Bernice will be greatly missed, and we look forward to a glorious reunion in heaven. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Spring Creek Cemetery Fund, c/o Betty Trotter 108 County Road 51, Riceville, TN 37370.
