Benny Barnes

Benny Howard Barnes, 75, of Riceville, TN passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Benny was born on October 12, 1948, in Copperhill, TN to the late Elmer Barnes and Opal Pack Rittenhouse. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, and a skilled electrician for over thirty years. Benny loved spending time on his tractor, and doing farm work alongside his son.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Barnes, and sister, Beatrice Barnes.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Benny L. (Tammy) Barnes of Riceville, TN; granddaughter Hannah (Hunter) Martin of Dawnville, GA.; his brother, Jerry (Bobbie) Barnes of Dalton, GA; nephews, Johnny R. Barnes, Scott Barnes, and James Barnes; nieces, Wanda Gazaway, Sherry Tankersley, Sarah Mullins, and Jessica Brewer; along with several great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on April 6th, 2024 at the Dawnville Clubhouse from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, located at 1338 Dawnville Rd. NE, Dalton, GA 30721.
