Bennie Martin

Jack Martin, 85, passed away at his home in Cleveland, Tennessee on Tuesday April 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born on September 8, 1938, in Chattaroy, West Virginia where he attended, played basketball for, and graduated from Chattaroy High School in 1957.

He is survived by his beautiful and supportive spouse of 66 years, Carol Martin; They met while in high school and enjoyed an adventurous life together since marrying upon graduation. He enjoyed flying airplanes, boating, fishing, taking his daily drives, singing, and playing piano. They have traveled on cross country road trips and have cruised the ocean always side by side.

He also leaves behind 3 wonderful children, Melvin (Tracy) Martin, Mecya (Jamie) Jordan, and Josh Martin; and his 5 amazing grandchildren, Zach (Olivia) Martin, Hunter Jordan, Alex Martin, Abby Jordan, and Jessica (Seth) Bledsoe; one sweet great granddaughter, Caitlin; along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family invites friends to remember Jack with them at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Jack will be laid to rest on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at The Spring Creek Methodist Church Cemetery in Riceville, Tennessee.

The entire family has always lived within a 30-mile proximity of one another, so there is a lifetime of memories that will be forever shared and cherished.
