Bennie Jackson Goodner age 69 passed away peacefully at his home in Quinlan Texas on Saturday April 1 with hospice. Bennie worked in Concrete construction before retirement. Bennie has recently rededicated his life to Christ. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Curtis & Edith Bishop Goodner, granddaughter Kendra Cali Marie Goodner, sister Mary Hope and four brothers Henry Franklin Goodner, Tommy David Goodner, Curtis Goodner Jr. and Jimmy Goodner.
He leaves behind two sons Larry Goodner of Clevleand, and Tony Duradel of Quinlan, TX, one daughter Jonica Blake of Pikeville, TN five grandchildren Private Ryan Goodner of Alabama and Anthony, Cody and Chase of Quinlan, TX, sistesr Ruby DeFriese and Wilma Martin and her husband Clyde, sister in law Barbara Goodner all of Cleveland, brothers Johnnie Goodner of Athens, TN and Ronnie Goodner and wife Juanita of Cleveland, a special friend Chris Talbott of Quinlan, TX, his dog “Shadow”, numeorus other extended family members and a host of special friends. We will all miss him greatly.
A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Kinser Church of God with pastor Guinn Green officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will follow in the McInturff Cemetery.
