Ben Kendrick

Obituary

Ben Kendrick, 66, of Cleveland, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday June 17, 2014, after a hard fought battle with cancer.

He was an avid outdoorsmen, enjoying a wide range of activities but his favorites were hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful husband, father, papa, brother and son. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially activities of his grandchildren. Ben was a loyal employee of Bellsouth/AT&T for 42 years. He was a faithful member of Central Church of Christ. Ben had such a generous, caring and loving personality, once you met him you were a lifelong friend. He never met a stranger and he would give you his shirt off his back if you needed it. The world lost a wonderful man, but Heaven gained an angel.

Ben was preceded in death by his father, John B. Kendrick Sr., of Montgomery, AL.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Norma O. Kendrick, daughter and son-in-law Kristi and John McCracken, son Paul B. Kendrick, grandson Cody McCracken, granddaughters Courtney McCracken and Kelly Kendrick all of Cleveland, TN; mother Mildred P. Kendrick; sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Larry Pugh; nephew, Brad (Julie) Pugh; niece Kendra (Daryl) Morris; great nephew AJ Pugh; great nieces, Hannah and Haleigh Morris from Montgomery, AL.

Visitation will be held at Central Church of Christ located at 200 25th Street NW in Cleveland, TN on Thursday, June 19th, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Central Church of Christ Youth Program or the Wounded Warrior Project, those donations can be made through www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
