Bartley Blackwell

October 5, 1960 — June 21, 2024

Bartley Clay Blackwell passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024. He was a lifelong resident of McMinn County. He enjoyed NASCAR, music and watching wrestling with his son Travis. His personality was one that could not be beat. He had jokes for days and could make anyone and everyone laugh.

Bartley is survived by his one and only true love, Tammy Blackwell. He has told the story may times of their first meeting when she was eighteen years old and his beautiful mother set him up with a wonderful lady. He said he fell in love with her the moment she spoke and when he seen her beautiful eyes. Not a day since that moment has he ever loved another woman because no one could ever beat the love he had for his bunny wabbit.

He is also survived by his three children, two daughters and son in-laws, Brandi and Jason Brooks and Leeza and Bryan Mullins and one son, Travis Clay Blackwell. He has three grandchildren, Camryn and Nicholas Thompson, Chance and Emily Hodsden and his best friend and little buddy, Charlie Mullins. He has two great grandchildren, Rhett Thompson and Kinley Hodsden as well as more on the way and brothers, Jamie Blackwell Dennis Wallace.

He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Stephanna and Charlie Hale, Edward and Linda Blackwell; aunt and uncle, June and Reese Moses; two brothers, Jeff and Rick Wallace.

The family will be having a private Memorial as well as a Celebration of Life at a later date.
