Barbara Underwood Withrow

Barbara Underwood Withrow, 77, of Charleston, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at a local hospital. She retired from Bradley Hospital after 30 years of service where she was an LPN. Barbara was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the Reverend James L. Underwood and Lonnie Mae Gainous Underwood; daughter Zandra Withrow Gobble; sisters, Mary Blalock and Dr. Lois Beach; and brothers, the Reverend James L. Underwood, Jr., Joe Underwood, Paul Underwood and Emanuel V. Underwood.
Survivors include her husband, Henry “Wink” Withrow; son, Henry Withrow; three granddaughters, Laci Bryant and husband, Brad, Tera Higgins and Karissa Walker; two great grandchildren, Ayden King and Skyla Gobble; sister Virginia “Ginny” Peters of Cleveland; brothers, David Underwood and wife, Frankie of Kingsport, Samuel Underwood and wife, Wilma of Madisonville and Melvin “Buck” Underwood and wife Ester of The Villages, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home on Tuesday May 14, 2019 from 11:00am until 12:30pm. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
