Barbara Jean Young, 72 of Etowah Tn, left this earth April 26th, 2022, and is now walking the beautiful streets of gold and has her Mansion in heaven. She was of Baptist faith and a member of Calvary Baptist church. She loved her lord and lived and obeyed The Lord’s Ten Commandments. She was processed in death by her parents Irene Parrot and Henry Parrot, her son Gregory Young, her favorite aunt and uncle Eula and Dent Loveday, and her cherished (Best)friend Gloria Mullinax. Survivors include her husband of 57 years James Young (Jim), daughters Rhonda Black and husband Nick Black, Chastity Croft and husband Mickey Croft and one sister Wanda Curtis. Grandchildren Hattie Black and Kaid Black and Fiancé Olivia Johnson, Ryan Allen and wife Marcey, Trenton Adkins, great grandchildren Millie Black, Sawyer Crager, Josie Adkins, Aubrey Pierce, Jace Allen, and Cooper Allen. And her wiener dog Zeb. Our mother’s favorite thing was our holiday gatherings. Mother loved to plan our menu. Mother would call my sister and I, her granddaughter Hattie, and her grandson’s wife Marcey to see what we wanted to bring. All of our favorite food she cooked was Mother’s potato soup, cheesy jalapeño cornbread muffins, chocolate pie, chocolate fudge and peanut butter fudge, and her (famous)brownies. Mother loved to go for car rides. Mother would do so often, and when Mother did she would call my sister and I and say, “Your daddy is mowing or bush hogging in this hot heat. Check on him.” Mother tried to keep our daddy in line, but he didn’t always mind her lol, but she loved him. Mother requested a (private)grave side service with her family at Green Hill Cemetery. Jeff Blanchette will officiate Mothers service. Paul bearers will be Ryan Allen, Kaid Black, Dennis Young, Colton Young, Charles Mullinax, Kent Wilson, with honorary paul bearers Nick Black and Mickey Croft. We will all miss you mother, and we know her our brother, Greg, will have his arms wide open for his mommy as she runs to him!!
