Barbara Ann Tallant Dale

Barbara Ann Tallant Dale, 79, of Cleveland, TN passed away on June 29, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 12, 1936 to the late Earl and Marchie Wade. Barbara was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Cleveland. She served as a crossing guard at T.C. Bower School for many years. She also loved flowers and gardening, as well as spending time with her family and, most of all, her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by a brother Doug Wade and great grandson Kegan Levi Nichols.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters: Glenda Tallant, Patricia Sharp (Jason), and Barbara Jean Tate; two sons Ray Tallant Jr. (Tammy) and Jody Fann Haggard; three sisters: Pat Brock, Cindy Ballard, and Sue Simmons; brother Junior Wade; grandchildren: Amanda Paige Nichols, Jeremy Lynn Nichols, Elijah Tallant, Houston Forgey, and Mercedes Forgey; great grandchildren: Layne Nichols, Rylie Renfroe, Chance Renfroe In addition to these, she leaves behind her previous husband and father of her children, Ray Edward Tallant Sr., numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday July 1, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday July 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rob Liles, Jeremy Nichols, Justin McDonald, Elijah Tallant, Ray Tallant, Morris Whitener, and Tyler Wilson serving as pallbearers.
